Snuggle Hold
Newborn to 12 months
The Snuggle Hold is perfect for newborns and babies who are happier in a vertical position (this is also a great position for burping.) To get baby into this hold, make sure the pouch is set to your tightest position. Facing baby to your chest slide him or her into the pouch. Baby's legs can be in the pouch, or the bottom, padded rail of the pouch can be under baby's butt with legs hanging out. The back of the pouch can be pulled up over the head, or with babies that can hold up their head, can be pulled up to the shoulders or under the arms.
Make sure the fabric on your shoulder is pulled over it forming a cap for comfort, and that the zippers are across your back. If you want to tighten the pouch slightly while it is on simply pull the inside fabric over your shoulder, essentially doubling it over. This will tighten the top rail, pulling baby tighter to you.
