Front Carry
Newborn to 12 months
The Front Carry position is great for babies that can hold up their heads until about the time baby is ready for the hip carry position (6 to 12 months). For this carry, hold open the pouch with slightly more fabric at the front, face baby forward and holding babies legs in a crossed legged sitting position, lower baby into pouch. Baby wants to be in a sitting position facing out.
Make sure the fabric on your shoulder is pulled over it forming a cap for comfort, and that the zippers are across your back. If you want to tighten the pouch slightly while it is on simply pull the inside fabric over your shoulder, essentially doubling it over. This will tighten the top rail, pulling baby tighter to you.
